If the CPU heatsink was that loose then I myself would have thought the thermal paste application would be suspect and would have double checked it - hopefully Joe thought to verify it was adequit for cooling and reapplied if not... Good job on the cable management, I approve! :) (Hi Kermit!) I dig the guitar bit, nice touch! All in all a really solid build video, I think we'll make a tech tuber out of you yet - Paul, definately throw some more work at this man, I like seeing him on the channel!

I paid $200 over what ASUS is asking for their RX 6800 OC Edition card (which is already more than the average RX 6800 would be without the scalper tax) and now I have a used MSI Gaming X RX 580 8gb card as a desk decoration... knowing fully that I could sell it in it's current state for about the same as I paid for it... but idk it seems that since video cards are rare right now, my brain says "no, keep it".

I was originally going for a rtx 3070 for my first pc. But I realized I wasn't getting one for a long while so I settled on a 1660s asus tuf oc for $230 thinking it was gonna be absolute garbage. Boy was I wrong😆. Its an amazing graphics card

Just seeing all the scalpers on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Newegg and anywhere else that allows 3rd party sellers makes me go WTF. I'm glad I was at least able to buy my 1660 super for $230 (was slightly after the pandemic went into full swing). now you look for a 1660 super people are trying to get $400-$600 out of them, it's absolutely ridiculous.

There are the MDR 7506 Paul got me these headphone since I started working with him. The high frequencies are very clear, not muddy sounding whatsoever. Had them for over 5 years now. the earpads needs replacing after a while, but I'm happy with them.

Front fan won't do much in that case. You're better off having all exhaust fans and letting it suck fresh air in wherever it can. You'll just have to clean for dust a bit more often since the air isn't going through a dust filter

Nice build. The graphic card struggle is definitely real. I built a system for a friend last year. I picked up an EVGA 1660 Super brand new for $230 from NewEgg. I should have bought myself one too. I'm finally to the point where I want to put my own new system together, but the market has gone crazy.

Why don't NVidia and AMD just take the insane money they are making from these miners buying everything, and speed up the development of their own microchip foundries? Get 5nm plants built THIS YEAR! The ONLY thing stopping them producing more graphics cards and CPUs than even all the miners could buy, is the speed that they can get their hands on the chips to make their stuff. If they poured in a few million into faster foundry production, not only would they be able to take FULL advantage of the demand NOW, making more money than they could dream of (which should be a good enough incentive for them to do it), they would also make us happy, and spank the scalpers by flooding the market with so many devices that the scalpers are left with stock they cant sell, and a lesson learned about being greedy! The games industry would also be grateful to stop the devolution in hardware that people are currently having to settle for, which stops them making better games! Never install the side panel before you turn the power button, I found out the hard way; I just put together my 1st custom loop with hard line tubing and I’m sooo nervous about filling the res but sooo excited at the same time so hopefully my $3k build doesn’t go up in blue smoke!!
