I have a question Paul. I have an RX570 gigabyte edition 4G and two more gigabyte components (mobo and ram) but only the motherboard and ram show up in RGB Fusion 2.0, and not the GPU. I have tried just about everything, driver updates, software reinstallation, reseating the GPU, etc. What do I do at this point, as nothing else has worked?

I want to upgrade and thought you would have an excellent suggestion for what to upgrade for a decent price. I game at 1080p at 185 hz. My question is completely off-topic Paul. I would like to know the fan layout orientation for my Phanteks p500a. I will be using it with 3 intake fans and the Noctua NH-D15 will be mounted with the air going from the front of the case to the back of the case. My question is should I have one exhaust fan at the top or one rear exhaust fan or should I have a rear exhaust and a top exhaust or should I have a rear exhaust with two top exhaust fans. Can you make a video of how to stream or record your gameplays on AMD and how it affects performance against nvidia. I used to record my gameplays on nvidia and then upload them to MNpost. Hi Paul, I was lucky enough to obtain a 5600X on launch day but I have been unable to get the system to post in my X570 motherboard. The motherboard LEDs remain at the 'Check RAM' state. Are Zen 3 CPUs compatible out of the box with X570 motherboards or will the motherboards require a BIOS update like previous generations? Thanks.

Question for the next probing Paul: I decided to do a full service on my Asus Strix 1080ti after repeated crashing in games and 3 years of ownership. I changed the thermal paste and thermal pads with the correct measurements from an Asus rep. and after reassembly there was some noticeable coil whine coming from the GPU. My question is could the coil whine be from inadequate thermal pads compared to factory or could the problem be mounting pressure on the VRMs?

Probing Paul Question! First the pretext.. I have a 1st gen Ryzen 1600/EVGA GEforce GTX1070sc set up, I do game somewhat but I'm mainly distracted with 3d modelling - any upgrade budget would be pretty limited. The system performs well but the thought of a performance squeezing GPU upgrade always lurks in the shadows. I get the impression that a 3080/3090, and maybe even the 3070, would bring imbalance to my rig, but now it's appeared (and judging by the performance specs on the chart you showed on Awesome Hardware) would the 3060ti be a more balanced step up to getting something from the latest gen GPU stack, or would you just throw it all in, save up and aim to upgrade the CPU/Mainboard too?

Hey Paul, love your videos, you were one of my main sources for researching and building my first PC(s, I have 4 builds in the works, lol) over the last month or so. Question: I built my GF a "console" PC hooked up to our living room TV. For some reason, several different 2.4ghz wireless keyboards are producing the same error when connecting to the PC, while bluetooth keyboards seem to have no issues. The keyboards periodically miss duplicate keystrokes (i.e. pressing "s" twice), and sometimes seem to entirely disconnect for widely varied amounts of time. There doesn't seem to be any clear trigger to this. Is this likely a wireless interference problem? Would I see improvement if I were to get some sort of USB extension cable to move the wireless receiver further from the PC/closer to our couch (only about 4-5ft away)? Is there some other workaround besides just using bluetooth?

Question for next month: I'm wanting to build with a x570/b550 tomahawk, and I already have a Samsung 970 evo plus 2tb which is 3rd generation. Can I buy a Sabrent rocket 4 plus 1tb and use both nvme ssd's on same board with no complications? Meaning, can I use 2 nvme 1 being 4th generation and other being 3rd generation on same board and have both nvme's perform at there maximum level with no complications? My intentions are to use the Sabrent as boot drive and the Samsung as storage drive. Love your channel and thanks in advance..

Question for the next probing Paul: I'm replacing my entire pc. With regards to storage, Is it better to spend the time re downloading all the games I want to play or is it fine to simply copy all the files from my old hdd despite being largely wasted space. Will a large number of files affect the speed or life of the ssd in any way?

I beg to differ. Anticipation was higher for Nvidia's card as they were first out of the box. A few people were actually able to show they got RTX3080FE cards on launch day. As to RDNA2, I saw a MNpost video with a guy at a MicroCenter store trying to see if the two guys who got RX6800 cards would exchange them for an RTX3080. Those are the only two people I have seen with actual AMD cards aside from reviewers. That is extremely bad as a launch goes. So definitely AMD was worse. That plus the fact that the came later and should have benefited from the Nvidia debacle.

You know people say big navi launch was terrible .With a little patience you can get one of these reference cards .Which imo is the only one worth the price .I watched a scan you tube channel in a few hour intervals and got a card .I Paid 649 plus 160 for a waterblock ,and I dont feel my purchase wasn't worth it ,I am more then happy ,it goes to say with a little persistence anything is possible. I tried for one of the many types of nvidia 3080s and to no avail

About the Nvidia and AMD launches, the european retailer Proshop got so tired of all the questions that they published lists for all the GPUs from both manufacturers. You can actually check how many cards they got and compare them to how many orders they have. They are not as big as Amazon or any other large, US retailer, but it might give you an idea as you would think Nvidia/AMD ship relative to the size of the retailer. In Canada, AMD is definitely worse for the stock issue. Even at it's worst I was able to find at least 1 or 2 RTX 3080's at various Canadian distributors. When it comes the RX though, every single one in Canada is Sold Out and HAS been Sold Out since release.

Hey Paul I am long time viewer and love your video's. I have a question for you. I am planning on doing a complete custom build soon and was wondering where is there a good place to go shopping at with prices that wont break the bank? I am going to be doing a custom in desk build with my uncle (master carpenter) here in the next few weeks. I am going to need 18 RGB fans and controls, 4 360mm radiators, 2 pump, hard lines and fittings (looking at 16mm OD acrylic lines) and RGB strips. Right now I have is MSI x570 mb and 2 200mm t-virus reservoirs (one blue and one red). Any info would be great. I know if i have to buy just the cooling stuff from main suppliers I am looking at about 2-3k. I really dont want to go to the knock off stuff. So can you point me in the right direction I would really love corsair, bitspower (dragon) or some thermaltake.

Building a system was a lot easier a year ago when You could get a Ryzen 3600 for $175 and a RTX 3060 for around $325. Why is nothing available for MSRP right now? Anyone who waited for the new products to launch thinking prices would go down on last years gear was totally screwed by the current shortages.

Finally got a job hoping to get a really top end card. And none of them are in stock. I am debating on buying other PC components now or wait until my second paycheck but obviously all these Black Friday deals will be gone. The "what if they finally get in stock" has me worried about buying a CPU/MOBO with my first paycheck. I'll probably just buy my other PC components on payday. And hope I can find one of these new GPUs in 2 weeks after next payday. Lol. If they even have any in stock by then. With Christmas looming and all that.

So I was just thinking about this video and I think AMD had a worse launch because I would argue it is also tied to their Ryzen launch, and the CPU's are also hard to find. So being that I can't get either product from AMD I'd say they're looking worse off than Nvidia.

Honestly. I feel AMD's maybe didnt have as much shock and awe as nvidia because as with every card that gets released as weve seen usually will go out of stock for a bit and then slowly come back (vs the just being gone) however. Amd literally saw the whole thing unfold. And acted as if they go this in the bag and then, oh shit what do we know they dropped the balls hard. Id say they both sucked and there wasn't really a clear winner.

for amd..its more expensive when majority can't afford motherboard like that to used 6800xt features..and amd lied before with 5700xt promising working state..i don't trust them at all..cause with nvidia..it work on any motherboard ..not just x590 to activate SAM or other stuff with bad rep for broken drivers so far

Nvidia and AMD should have put the cards on sale for huge markups. $2000+. On checkout there is a randomly generated code for people to call in for a reduced to MSRP cost. Obviously if you checkout to fast you may miss that. Bots pay full price. If they are gonna take all the cards might as well let them pay for the new R&D.
